SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward L. Mahoney of Vernon Hills, who
4passed away on August 29, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney was born on November 24, 1933, in
6Chicago; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney served his country with pride as a
8paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division until he was
9discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney was the founder of Ultra Printing,
11where he continued to enjoy working until his passing; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney was a member of the Lions Club
13Vernon Hills Chapter and was one of the founding parishioners
14of St. Mary of Vernon in Vernon Hills; he also served as a
15Eucharistic Minister and was involved in marriage preparation
16with his wife; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney was preceded in death by his
18brother, James; his sister-in-law, Patricia; and his sister,
19Madeline; and

1    WHEREAS, Edward Mahoney is survived by his beloved wife,
2Pauline Suzanne "Sue"; his sons, Michael (Jamie), Edward (Sue),
3and Dominick (Susan); his proud grandchildren, Corey,
4Nicholas, Ryan, Zachary, Melissa, and Kyra; his sisters,
5Kathleen and Mary Lou; his brother, Martin; and his many nieces
6and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9his family and friends, the passing of Edward L. Mahoney; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Edward Mahoney as an expression of
13our sympathy.
