SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of David Aguirre of Park City, who passed
4 away on May 8, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, David Aguirre was a native of Guatemala, living
6 there up to his young adulthood; he met his beloved wife, Mercy
7 Aguirre, while in Guatemala; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He served on the Board of Directors of IRTRA and
9 founded Guatemala's first theme park; shortly thereafter he and
10 his family decided to fulfill the American dream and migrated
11 to the United States, settling in Park City; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He worked for Duraclean International for 16
13 years; he became involved with the community and proudly served
14 as an Alderman of Park City for 4 years; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He loved family trips, dancing, singing, working
16 on cars, attending church, and most of all meeting new people
17 and helping them in any way he could; he enjoyed his time spent
18 with his brothers and sisters of Famenal; his greatest joys in
19 his life were his wife, children, grandchildren, and
20 great-grandchildren; and

1     WHEREAS, David Aguirre is survived by Mercy, his wife of
2 nearly 39 years; his three children, Alex, Sandy (Eric Smith),
3 and Nancy; his two grandchildren, Jeralyn and Mia; his
4 great-granddaughter, Zoey; his sisters, Alicia, Ruth, and Eva;
5 and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his family and friends, the passing of David Aguirre; and be it
10 further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of David Aguirre as a symbol of our
13 sincere sympathy.
