SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Jesse M. Veach of Peoria, who passed away
4 on December 3, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born July 8, 1932, in Charleston, the son
6 of Charles and Beulah Millage Veach; he married Barbara Kunkel
7 on March 17, 1981, in Princeville; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 27 years,
9 retiring as an overhead crane operator in 1991; and
 
10     WHEREAS, After his retirement from Caterpillar, he worked
11 for the American Red Cross; he was a member of the Caterpillar
12 Square Dance Club; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, four
14 brothers, and one sister; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Jesse Veach is survived by his wife, Barbara; his
16 daughter, Dona M. (Matthew) Graham; his stepdaughter, Lisa
17 (Gary) Hill; his stepsons, Doug (Rhonda) Kunkel and Steven
18 Kunkel; his brothers, Max Veach, Lowell (Mickie) Veach, and
19 Gilbert Veach; his sisters, Mary (Pete) Higgs, Wanda Higgs, and
20 Rachel Stonum; his grandchild; and his four

1 step-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4 his family and friends, the passing of Jesse Veach; and be it
5 further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the family of Jesse Veach as a symbol of our
8 sincere sympathy.
