SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Arnie Frank Bryant; and
 
4     WHEREAS, He was born in Hartford, Alabama, the oldest of
5 five children born to Frank and Rosie Anderson; he was raised
6 in Newark, New Jersey, Chicago, and Maywood; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He attended Farragut and Proviso East High
8 Schools; he joined the United States Army in 1977 and remained
9 on active duty until 1997; he accepted Christ as his Savior at
10 an early age at Proviso Missionary Baptist Church under Bishop
11 Claude Porter; he was a member of New Horizon Missionary
12 Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Carl Hopson at
13 the time of his passing; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He was a caring and compassionate man who loved
15 his family and fellow man; he was the President of the Proviso
16 Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of
17 Colored People (NAACP) for many years and a Proviso Township
18 Trustee; he was also President of the Bellwood Library Board;
19 and
 
20     WHEREAS, he worked in law enforcement for twenty years; he
21 was most recently employed as Deputy Chief of the Records

1 Center for Cook County; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Arnie Frank Bryant was preceded in death by his
3 goddaughter, Leslie Thompson; his mother; his brother,
4 Douglas; and his sister, Thelma; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Arnie Frank Bryant is survived by his wife and
6 friend, Gladis; his children, Brittany and Frank; his grandson,
7 Austin Murray; Kassy Twine; his father, Frank Anderson; his
8 brother, Raymond Bryant (Christina); his sister, Crystal King
9 (David); and many nieces and nephews, all who were his
10 favorite; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13 his family and friends, the passing of Arnie Frank Bryant; and
14 be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Arnie Frank Bryant as a symbol of
17 our sincere sympathy.
