SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Mr. Charles Timothy "Tim" Heimann of
4 Galesburg, who passed away on March 13, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Tim Heimann was born May 10, 1948, in Chicago, to
6 William J. and Doris M. Greene Heimann; he married Catherine
7 Kucik on August 2, 1970, in Westchester; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Tim Heimann was a coach, professor, development
9 officer, and mentor at Knox College in Galesburg for 37 years;
10 and
 
11     WHEREAS, In his career at Knox College, he touched many
12 lives, formed young minds and characters, and leaves a legacy
13 in each of his many former students and players; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Tim Heimann was a 1966 graduate of Proviso West
15 High School; he received a bachelor's degree in English
16 literature from Knox College in 1970; he received a master's
17 degree in Guidance and Counseling from Bradley University in
18 Peoria in 1976; and he served in the United States Army
19 Reserves for six years; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Tim Heimann was preceded in death by his parents;

1 and his brother, Dennis N. Heimann; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Tim Heimann is survived by his wife, Catherine;
3 his sons, Kerry Heimann, Kevin Heimann, and Christopher
4 Heimann; his daughter, Cammi Heimann (and Douglas) Lawrence;
5 his brother, William P. (and Carol) Heimann; his sister-in-law,
6 Gay Heimann; and his grandchildren, Max Lawrence and Lucy
7 Lawrence; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10 his family and friends, the passing of Tim Heimann; and be it
11 further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Tim Heimann as a symbol of our
14 sincere sympathy.
