SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Faye Sentel of Benton, who passed away on
4 March 2, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on July 20, 1925, in Hamilton County,
6 the daughter of Willard Corn and Violet Jane (Biddle) Corn; she
7 married Kenneth Dean Sentel on May 23, 1946; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Her number one occupations were as a wife and
9 mother; she also worked as a cook for Severins Nursing Home in
10 Benton and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church,
11 east of Akin; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
13 husband; her grandson, Joshua Sentel; her brother, Lee Corn;
14 her sister, Ruth Flannigan; and her son-in-law, Donnie Johnson;
15 and
 
16     WHEREAS, Faye Sentel is survived by her children, Virginia
17 Johnson, Robert Sentel, Nancy Launius and her husband, Darrel,
18 Ruth Matyi, Bill Sentel and his wife, Julie, and Kenny Sentel
19 and his wife, Roberta; her grandchildren, Kerri Hendren and her
20 husband, Corey, Staff Sergeant Mark Johnson and his wife, Macy,
21 John David Launius and his wife, Tammy, Christie Launius and

1 her partner, Ciara Healy, Amy Launius and her husband, Jim
2 Reith, Marcie Clark and her husband, Adam, Sarah Millenbine and
3 her husband, Donnie, Alison Woodrow and her husband, Jason,
4 Jessica Salmo and her husband, Captain Andrew Salmo, and Elijah
5 Sentel; her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Abby, and Ethan
6 Hendren, Kaylee Johnson, Preston and Pearson Launius, Chloe and
7 Willa Reith, Calynn Clark, Mallorie Millenbine, and Grace and
8 Annabell Woodrow; her brother, Robert and his wife, Mary Corn;
9 and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 her family and friends, the passing of Faye Sentel; and be it
13 further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Faye Sentel as a symbol of our
16 sincere sympathy.
