SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of George W. Huthmann of Peoria, formerly of
4 Morton, who passed away on February 17, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, George Huthmann was born on June 17, 1937 in
6 Peoria; he was the son of Gustav and Elizabeth Trenker
7 Huthmann; he married Ruth E. Hohulin on November 24, 1963 in
8 Peoria; and
 
9     WHEREAS, George Huthmann was a 1955 graduate of Manual High
10 School in Peoria; he also attended Bradley University; and
 
11     WHEREAS, George Huthmann was an employee of Caterpillar
12 Inc. from 1959 until the present, most currently working as a
13 senior casting design engineer; he also served on the board of
14 CEFCU since 1975; and
 
15     WHEREAS, George Huthmann was a member of Sheridan Road
16 Apostolic Christian Church in Peoria; he was also involved in
17 various prison ministries and golf leagues; and
 
18     WHEREAS, George Huthmann was preceded in death by his wife,
19 Ruth; his sister, Anna Huthmann; and his brother, Heinz
20 Huthmann; and

1     WHEREAS, George Huthmann is survived by his daughters,
2 Katherine Huthmann, Susan (Rick) Scott, and Heidi (Ben)
3 Hartter; his grandchildren, Allison and Lydia Scott and Kyler
4 and Macy Hartter; his sister, Margaret Huthmann; and his many
5 nieces and nephews; and
 
6     WHEREAS, George Huthmann will be remembered by all who knew
7 and loved him as a devoted father and grandfather who
8 demonstrated his love for God and others through his acts of
9 service; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn, along
12 with his family and friends, the passing of George W. Huthmann;
13 and be it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of George Huthmann as an expression of
16 our sympathy.
