SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Marjorie E. Coffee of Geneva, who passed
4 away on September 3, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee was born on February 4, 1926 in
6 Chicago; she was the daughter of Walter and Mary (nee Heelan)
7 Hansen; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee was very proud of her work as an
9 executive secretary for International Magnetics in Franklin
10 Park and Hot Point in Chicago; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee was very proud that she married
12 two World War II veterans and cherished the time she spent with
13 her first husband, Edward E. Masterson, who passed away in
14 1979, and her second husband, James Coffee, who passed away in
15 1989; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee was an avid bridge player who
17 loved life and had a great Irish sense of humor; her greatest
18 enjoyment in life was taking care of her family; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee was preceded in death by her
20 parents; her first husband, Edward E. Masterson; her second

1 husband, James Coffee; her son, Edward Masterson; her brother,
2 William "Bud" Hansen; and her stepson, James Coffee; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Marjorie Coffee is survived by her daughter, Karen
4 Ramey; her grandchildren, Michael (Lindsey) Masterson and
5 Brian Ramey; her sister, Marie Kennedy; her step-children,
6 Carolyn (Bruce) Slown, Susan (Raymond) Hinkle, Sheila Coffee,
7 Kevin (Rachel) Coffee, Richard (Sue) Coffee, Betsy Coffee,
8 Thomas (Sue) Coffee, and Claudia Coffee; her
9 step-grandchildren, Emily Coffee, Jayme, Scott, and Eric
10 Slown, Kate and Lauren Hinkle, David and Brent Coffee, Emily
11 and Nathan Coffee, and Grace and Christopher Coffee; and her
12 many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
13     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
14 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
15 her family and friends, the passing of Marjorie E. Coffee; and
16 be it further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the family of Marjorie E. Coffee as an expression
19 of our sympathy.
