    Amends the Firearm Seizure Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the examination of the complainant and witness.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Firearm Seizure Act is amended by changing
5 Section 1 as follows:
 
6     (725 ILCS 165/1)  (from Ch. 38, par. 161-1)
7     Sec. 1. When a complaint is made to any circuit court that
8 that a person possessing a firearm or firearms has threatened
9 to use a firearm illegally, the court shall examine on oath
10 such complainant, and any witnesses which may be produced,
11 reduce the complaint to writing and have it subscribed and
12 sworn to by the complainant. If the court is satisfied that
13 there is any danger of such illegal use of firearms, it shall
14 issue a warrant requiring the apprehension of such person,
15 hereafter referred to as the defendant, for appearance before
16 the court. Such warrant shall also authorize the seizure of any
17 firearm in the possession of the defendant.
