HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Wilhelm
4Herb Tauscher of Christopher, who passed away on November 19,
52010; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was born on February 24, 1939, in
7Mount Vernon; his parents were Herbert W. Tauscher and Letitia
8(Sylvia) Tauscher; he married Babe Patsy (Dixson) Tauscher; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher served his country with pride and
10distinction as a member of the United States Coast Guard for 22
11years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was employed as a coal miner at
13Kerr Magee for 15 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was a former Fall Festival Grand
15Marshal; he was a past president of the Christopher Lions Club;
16he was a past commander of the Christopher American Legion; he
17was a devoted member and supporter of the Democratic Party; he
18was also the inspiration for the bocce ball court in
19Christopher; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was preceded in death by his

1parents and his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bob
2Fortman; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher is survived by his children,
4Donita and Scott Coffel, John Peer, and Melissa Gayle Hartsell;
5his grandchildren, Jessica and Randy Peterman, Amanda Leah
6Yates, Alyson and Corey Leeper, John Peer II, Erica and Hunter
7Moore, Kelsey Peer, and Kristin Peer; his great-grandchildren,
8Morgan, Nolan, Bryce, Abigail, Evelyn, Ashton, and Isabella;
9his cousin, Beverly Rolla; his brother and his sisters-in-law;
10his nieces and nephews; his dear friends, Ivan Davis and Kenny
11Berryman; and his loving companion, Shorty the dog; therefore,
12be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
16Wilhelm Herb Tauscher; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Wilhelm Tauscher as an expression of
19our sympathy.
