HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edward
4Nelson Juneau of Glen Carbon, formerly of Granite City, who
5passed away on November 26, 2010; and
 
6    WHEREAS, He was born July 22, 1920, in Alton, and was the
7son of the late Edward Joseph and Anna Mae (McFetridge) Juneau;
8he married Marilyn Ruth (VanMeter) Juneau May 15, 1948, in
9Bethalto; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He retired in 1984 from Juneau Associates Inc.
11P.C., which he founded, after many years of dedicated service
12to the area as a civil engineer and land surveyor; he was a
13United States Navy veteran who proudly served his country
14during World War II as a PT boat captain; and
 
15    WHEREAS, He was a recipient of the Paul Harris Award given
16by the Granite City Rotary Club, a faithful member of Holy
17Family Catholic Church in Granite City, and 3rd Degree member
18of the Knights of Columbus Tri-City Council; he enjoyed his
19days of golfing, traveling, and spending time at his lake house
20and will be remembered for the love and special times spent
21with his family and friends; and

1    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; his
2parents; and his three sisters, Eleanor Rhodes, Virginia Moore,
3and Mary Helen Cox; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Edward Juneau is survived by his sons and
5daughters-in-law, Charles E. and Kate Juneau and Joseph M. and
6Beth Juneau; his daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Joseph
7Ribbing, Suzanne and Dave McClain, and Jeanette Ann and William
8Cassiday; his 10 grandchildren; his 8 great-grandchildren; his
93 step-grandchildren; his sister, Pat Dempsey Juneau; and his
10extended family and friends; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
13mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Edward
14Juneau; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Edward Juneau as a symbol of our
17sincere sympathy.
