HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Feliza
4Arthella McElmurry, who passed away on August 27, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry was born on January 4, 1974, in
6Peoria; her parents were Nina Gaynelle Rice and Earl Edward
7Jackson, Sr.; she married Sherman McElmurry on March 31, 2001;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry graduated from Manual High
10School in 1992; she then pursued her education at Illinois
11Central College; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry was employed in the health care
13industry at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and Heartcare
14Midwest for many years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry was preceded in death by her
16great grandparents, Levy (Tinnie) Dixon, and her uncle, Officer
17Michael A. Perkins; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry is survived by her devoted and
19loving daughters, Kadeja Shalom McElmurry and Alexis Symone
20McElmurry; her loving parents; her loving maternal

1grandparents, Howard and Aurthur Mae Perkins; her loving
2paternal grandparents, George (Daisy) Johnson; her loving
3brothers and her sister, Marcus Brent Rice, Earl Jackson, Jr.,
4and April Jackson; her loving uncles, Darnell "Quazi" Hannah,
5Howard Wesley Perkins, Tony Lloyd Anthony Perkins, and Lawrence
6Quinton Perkins; her loving great-uncles, Rev. Dr. Herschel
7(Yvette) Hannah and Tim (Carolyn) Rice; and her many nieces,
8nephews, other relatives, and friends; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Feliza McElmurry will be remembered by all who
10knew and loved her for her warm and genuine smile, her
11professionalism, and the personal care she gave to patients;
12therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Feliza
16Arthella McElmurry; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Feliza McElmurry as an expression of
19our sympathy.
