HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ronald G. Moser on
4 the occasion of his retirement as Chief of the Galena Volunteer
5 Fire Department; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser was born on February 3, 1934, in
7 Galena; he is one of the 9 children of the late Fred and Helen
8 Moser; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser graduated from Galena High School in
10 1952; from 1956 to 1958, he served his country with pride and
11 distinction as a member of the United States Army, including
12 time stationed in Germany; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser was employed with the Kraft Company
14 in Galena until 1966, when he took a position with John Deere
15 in Dubuque, Iowa; he remained at John Deere until his
16 retirement in 1992; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser began his career with the Galena
18 Volunteer Fire Department on October 12, 1959; he held many
19 positions in the department during his career, including
20 Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and Chief; he retired
21 from the Galena Volunteer Fire Department on February 8, 2010;

2     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser married Doris E. Hammill on August
3 15, 1953, in Benton, Wisconsin; together, the couple had 3
4 children, Lynn Marie Moser, Michael Brian Moser, and Jennifer
5 Ann Moser; he also has 2 grandsons, Gage Michael Soat and Evan
6 Andrew Soat; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Ronald Moser will be recognized for his many years
8 of dedicated service with the Galena Volunteer Fire Department
9 at a celebration in his honor on May 16, 2010; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12 congratulate Ronald G. Moser on the occasion of his retirement
13 and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it
14 further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to Ronald Moser as a symbol of our esteem and
17 respect.
