HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Plainfield South Cougars boys bowling team for winning the IHSA
5 State bowling championship; and
 
6     WHEREAS, The Cougars won the IHSA State bowling
7 championship at the St. Clair Bowl in O'Fallon with 12,604
8 pins, beating defending champion Lake Park by 91 pins; and
 
9     WHEREAS, The Cougars' victory at the IHSA State bowling
10 championship gave Plainfield South High School its first State
11 title in a team sport in the school's history; the team's
12 victory was also the first State championship in the history of
13 Plainfield District #202; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Three members of the Cougars, Brandyn Andelbradt,
15 Will Eklove, and Calvin Hendrickson, earned all-State honors;
16 and
 
17     WHEREAS, The Cougars dedicated their spectacular
18 performance to former teammate Eric Brander, who was tragically
19 killed in a car accident on his way to school on December 11,
20 2009; and

1     WHEREAS, The members of the Plainfield South Cougars boys
2 bowling team are Brandyn Andelbradt, Jonathan Clark, Will
3 Eklove, Calvin Hendrickson, Kyle Heywood, TJ Marth, Bryan
4 Tomac, Nathaniel Yost, Chad Zoeteman, and Eric Brander; the
5 team's coaches are Jeff Bailey, Derek Christensen, and George
6 Kontos; and
 
7     WHEREAS, The members of the Plainfield South Cougars boys
8 bowling team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and
9 dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,
10 be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
13 congratulate the members of the Plainfield South Cougars boys
14 bowling team for winning the IHSA State bowling championship
15 and wish them continued success and happiness in the future;
16 and be it further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the Plainfield South Cougars boys bowling team as
19 a symbol of our esteem and respect.
