SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
110 ILCS 805/2-5   from Ch. 122, par. 102-5
110 ILCS 805/2-7   from Ch. 122, par. 102-7

    Amends the Public Community College Act. In provisions concerning the compensation and expenses of members of the State Board, deletes language that provides that expenses incurred by any non-voting student member may, at the discretion of the Chairman of the Board, be provided for by advance payment to such member, who shall account therefor to the Board immediately after each meeting. Deletes language that provides that members of advisory committees shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the administration of the Act. Effective July 1, 2010.

1     AN ACT concerning education.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended by
5 changing Sections 2-5 and 2-7 as follows:
 
6     (110 ILCS 805/2-5)  (from Ch. 122, par. 102-5)
7     Sec. 2-5. Compensation and expenses of members. The members
8 of the State Board shall serve without compensation but they
9 shall be reimbursed for their actual and necessary expenses
10 while engaged in the performance of their duties. Such expenses
11 incurred by any non-voting student member may, at the
12 discretion of the Chairman of the Board, be provided for by
13 advance payment to such member, who shall account therefor to
14 the Board immediately after each meeting.
