SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
40 ILCS 5/20-126   from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 20-126
30 ILCS 805/8.33 new

    Amends the Illinois Pension Code. In the Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act, requires each participating system to submit to the other participating systems quarterly (rather than to submit to other participating systems, upon request) a report, properly certified, regarding the pension credits of each employee and any other pertinent information that may be necessary for proper administration of the Article and requires the report be transmitted, at a minimum, in an electronic format. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing
5 Section 20-126 as follows:
 
6     (40 ILCS 5/20-126)  (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 20-126)
7     Sec. 20-126. Responsibility of participating systems. Each
8 participating system shall submit to the other participating
9 systems, on a quarterly basis upon request, a report, properly
10 certified, regarding the pension credits of each employee and
11 any other pertinent information which may be necessary for
12 proper administration of this Article. The report required
13 under this Section shall be transmitted, at a minimum, in an
14 electronic format.

16     Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding
17 Section 8.33 as follows:

19     Sec. 8.33. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 and 8
20 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required for the
21 implementation of any mandate created by this amendatory Act of

2     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
3 becoming law.
