| AN ACT concerning State government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |

| Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 |
| amended by adding Section 605-813 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 605/605-813 new) |
| 8 |
| Sec. 605-813. Transitional jobs pilot programs. The |
| 9 |
| Department, subject to appropriation, shall develop and |
| 10 |
| administer 3 pilot programs that use "work therapy" to assist |
| 11 |
| homeless adults transition into employment. The Department |
| 12 |
| shall adopt the rules necessary for the implementation of this |
| 13 |
| Section.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 15 |
| 2009.
