SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Makes appropriations to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for various purposes, including ordinary and contingent expenses. Effective July 1, 2010.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Board of the Trustees of Southern Illinois University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011:

Payable from the General Revenue Fund:

  For Personal Services, including payment

    to the university for personal services

    costs incurred during the fiscal year

    and salaries accrued but unpaid to academic

    personnel for personal services rendered

    during the 2010-2011 academic year........ $208,928,200

  For State Contributions to Social

    Security, for Medicare....................... 2,343,400

  For Group Health Insurance..................... 3,662,100

  For Contractual Services...................... 13,380,100

  For Travel........................................ 54,600

  For Commodities................................ 1,023,500

  For Equipment.................................. 2,377,300

  For Telecommunications Services................ 1,758,900

  For Operation of Automotive Equipment............ 638,900

  For Awards and Grants.............................      0

    Total                                      $234,167,000

 

    Section 10. The sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Professions Dedicated Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for all costs associated with the development, support, or administration of pharmacy practice education or training programs at the Edwardsville campus.

 

    Section 15. The amount of $59,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State College and University Trust Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for scholarship grant awards from the sale of collegiate license plates.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
