SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Evelyn Taylor Page of Benton, who passed
4 away on November 8, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page was born on April 13, 1913, in
6 Harden County, Durham, England; she was the daughter of
7 Marshall and Janet (Waite) Taylor; she was married to Gerald
8 William Page; he preceded her in death on October 24, 1983; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page was retired from the Benton
10 Evening News and Illinois Magazine; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page was a volunteer with Franklin
12 Hospital Auxiliary for many years and a longtime member of
13 First Baptist Church in Benton; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page was preceded in death by her
15 husband; her parents; her son, Bill Page; her grandson, Jason
16 Page; her brothers, Marshall Taylor and Bill Taylor; and her
17 infant sister; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page is survived by her son, Robert
19 E. Page and wife, Peggy; her grandchildren, Linda Volz and her
20 husband, Steve, Gary Page and his wife, Mary Alice, and Amberly

1 Page; her great-grandchildren, Stacey, Jennifer, and Josh; her
2 great-great-grandson, Tristan; her daughter-in-law, Maxine
3 Page; her sister-in-law, Roberta Perkins; and her several
4 nieces and nephews; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Evelyn Taylor Page will be remembered by all who
6 knew and loved her as a kind and considerate woman who loved
7 her family; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10 her family and friends, the passing of Evelyn Taylor Page; and
11 be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Evelyn Taylor Page as an expression
14 of our sympathy.
