SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Estelle T. Zanck of Woodstock, who passed
4 away on September 17, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born January 29, 1916, in Chicago, one of
6 nine children to Thomas and Josephine (Hebda) Kula; she married
7 Chester Zanck on October 28, 1939; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She and her family moved to Lake in the Hills in
9 1951, where they were an active part of the community and
10 church; she was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in
11 Algonquin when it was a little mission church on the banks of
12 the Fox River; her church was an important part of her life;
13 she was a member of the choir, Altar and Rosary Society, The
14 Women of the Well, and the Ever-So-Young Seniors, and she
15 enjoyed the retreats at Sinsinnawa; and
 
16     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her daughter,
17 Barbara; her sisters, Jean, Louise, and Mona; and her brothers,
18 Peter, Ted, Henry, and Barney; and
 
19     WHEREAS, She is survived by her dear husband; her son, Tom
20 (Charie) Zanck; her daughter, Judy (Paul) Mercer; her
21 son-in-law, Jim (Jackie Witt) Tegtmeier; her six

1 grandchildren, Toni, Erin, Joe, Jason, Beth, and Adam; her ten
2 great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Irene Sala; her loving
3 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and
4 nephews; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 her family and friends, the passing of Estelle T. Zanck; and be
8 it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of Estelle T. Zanck as a symbol of our
11 sincere sympathy.
