SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of John P. Hock of Herrin, who passed away
4 on August 25, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, John P. Hock was born on September 10, 1962 in
6 Carbondale; his parents were Donald and Sue Ellen (Yates) Hock;
7 and
 
8     WHEREAS, John P. Hock received his bachelor's degree from
9 the University of Southern Indiana; he served in the United
10 States Air Force for eight years; and
 
11     WHEREAS, John P. Hock was employed by Egypt Flowers and had
12 been previously employed as a schoolteacher; and
 
13     WHEREAS, John P. Hock was an avid golfer; and
 
14     WHEREAS, John P. Hock was preceded in death by his father;
15 his grandparents, Paul and Mary Yates; his grandfather, Claude
16 Hock; his aunt, Mary Ann Yates; and his special angels, Ashley
17 and Jessica Ruzick; and
 
18     WHEREAS, John P. Hock is survived by his mother; his sister
19 and brother-in-law, Christy and Doug Gribble; his nephews,

1 Jackson and Alex Gribble; his grandmother, Virginia Hock; his
2 aunts and uncles, Ted and Ruby Holmes, Tony and Jane Morgan
3 Colp, and Charlotte and Ronnie Aissie; and his several cousins
4 and special friends, Cheryl and her daughter and Stevie Ruzich;
5 therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 his family and friends, the passing of John P. Hock; and be it
9 further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of John P. Hock as an expression of our
12 sympathy.
