SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of William Jakich of Granite City, who
4 passed away on May 17, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on January 26, 1928, in Granite City;
6 he married the former Esther M. Moad on February 13, 1949; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church
8 in Granite City; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was previously employed by A.O. Smith for 28
10 years as a craftsman and by Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St.
11 Louis; and he was a member of Carpenters Local 633 in Granite
12 City and the Croation Home; and
 
13     WHEREAS, William Jakich was preceded in death by his wife,
14 Esther; his daughter, Patricia Anne Jakich; his parents,
15 Michael and Anna (Novocich) Jakich; and his brothers, Nick
16 Jakich, Louie Jakich, Mike Jakich, and William M. Jakich; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Mike)
18 Costillo; his son, William M. (Karen) Jakich; his brother, John
19 (Emma) Jakich; his sister, Catherine (Max) Prusak; his
20 grandchildren, Erika Jakich, Michael Costillo, Michelle

1 Costillo, Jessica Costillo, Elizabeth Costillo, and Catherine
2 Jakich; his step-granddaughter, Christina (Rick) Roberts; and
3 his great-grandchildren, Gavin, McKayla, Mariska, and Chloe;
4 therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 his family and friends, the passing of William Jakich; and be
8 it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of William Jakich as a symbol of our
11 sincere sympathy.
