SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Brent E. Stayton of Red Bud, who passed
4 away on May 5, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Brent E. Stayton was born to Dean and Helen, nee
6 Mayes, Stayton on December 18, 1959, in Carlinville; Brent was
7 born and raised on the family farm; he graduated from Eastern
8 Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in 1981; and he
9 married his high school sweetheart, Lois Jeanne Olroyd, on
10 October 3, 1981, in Carlinville and then moved to Red Bud; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Brent was a dedicated assistant regional vice
12 president for Farm Credit Services and worked for them for more
13 than 26 years; he had worked in the offices in Belleville,
14 Waterloo, Sparta, and Red Bud; he considered his Farm Credit
15 clients as family; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church
17 of Red Bud and loved his church family; he was a man who was
18 strong in his faith and lived his life accordingly; he had a
19 big heart and loved people; he was a farm boy at heart with a
20 love for and talent in every sport; Brent lived his life to the
21 fullest keeping a positive outlook all the way through; and

1     WHEREAS, Brent Stayton was preceded in death by his
2 grandfather, Al Mayes; and two uncles, Henry Mayes and Jack
3 Stayton; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Surviving are his wife, Lois Stayton; his parents,
5 Dean and Helen Stayton; his three daughters, whom Brent was
6 very proud of, Ashley Stayton, Brooke (fiance, Alex Bunte)
7 Stayton, and Morgan Stayton; his maternal grandmother, Mildred
8 Mayes; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Cindy
9 Stayton and their children, Derek, Dane, and Damon, and Baron
10 and Suzanne Stayton and their children, Megan, Drew, and
11 Jillian; his parents-in-law, Peter and Joyce Olroyd; his
12 brothers-in-law, Pete (wife, Mary) Olroyd and family, Mark
13 (wife, Sondra) Olroyd and family, Steve (wife, Peggy) Olroyd
14 and family, and Jim (wife, Tina) Olroyd and family; and several
15 uncles and aunts; therefore, be it
 
16     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
18 his family and friends, the passing of Brent E. Stayton; and be
19 it further
 
20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to the family of Brent E. Stayton as a symbol of our
22 sincere sympathy.
