SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Alice Elizabeth Ruesch (nee Ames) of
4 Zion, who passed away on March 10, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Alice was born October 6, 1914, in Wadsworth and
6 was a graduate of Warren Township High School; she married Carl
7 Ruesch on September 14, 1935, and along with her husband was a
8 founding member of Lakeview Church in Zion; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Alice was employed as an assistant chef at Glen
10 Flora Country Club in Waukegan during World War I and World War
11 II; she later became a housewife and was very active in
12 Lakeview Church; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl
14 Ruesch; her granddaughter, Reyna Ruesch; her grandson, Timothy
15 Goodwin; her brother, George Pulver; her sister, Grace Theiss;
16 her brother, Alvin Ames; her sister, Madess Gust; her brother,
17 Fremont Ames; her sister, Marceline Herman; her brother,
18 Mortimer Ames; her sister, Margaret Ames; and her father and
19 mother, Edgar and Emma Ames; and
 
20     WHEREAS, She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Howard)
21 Goodwin, David (Monica) Ruesch, Don (Mari) Ruesch, and Julie

1 (Richard) Gates; her grandchildren, Amy (Tom) Barber, Howard
2 Goodwin, Heather (Robert) Kukla, James Ruesch, Richard (Terri)
3 Ruesch, Annie (Jeff) Hines, Christopher Ruesch, Patrick
4 (Diane) Ruesch, Scott (Mary) Ruesch, Aaron Ruesch, Rachael
5 Ruesch, Andrew Ruesch, and Sarah Gates; her
6 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Pedersen, Emily and Alex Barber,
7 Joshua and Morgan Kukla, Amy Schemenour, Brittany, Daniel,
8 Katlynn, Madison and Matthew Ruesch, Jeffrey and Brandon Hines,
9 and Cory, Megan, Jacob, Katie, Brianna, Baylee, and Matthew
10 Ruesch; and her seven great-great-grandchildren; she is also
11 survived by numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
12     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
14 her family and friends, the passing of Alice Ruesch; and be it
15 further
 
16     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to the family of Alice Elizabeth Ruesch as a symbol
18 of our sincere sympathy.
