SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Helen E. (Kochan) Yungck of Alton, who
4 passed away on March 3, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Helen E. (Kochan) Yungck was born September 6,
6 1925, in Wood River, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Varga)
7 Kochan; she married Robert J. Yungck June 4, 1949, in Alton;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, She was a secretary at Millers Mutual, a secretary
10 at the University of Illinois while her husband attended
11 architectural engineering school, and was employed at Duke
12 Bakery; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic
14 Church in Alton; and
 
15     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert;
16 her parents; her sister, Anna Kochan Dudzik; her brother,
17 Joseph Kochan; and her son-in-law, John McLagan; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Helen Yungck will be deeply felt by
19 her daughters and spouses, Karen and Robert Hertz, Jayne and
20 P.J. Jun, and Debra and Mark Pohlman; her son, Robert and his

1 wife, Vesta; her grandchildren, Michael (Gretchen) Hertz,
2 Meredith and Melissa Hertz, Brian and David Jun, Jennifer and
3 Matthew McLagan, Tyler McKenzie, and Madilyn Yungck; her two
4 step-grandchildren, Jackie and Olivia Pohlman; her sister,
5 Mary Haist; her brother, Tom "Bum" Kochan; and her
6 sister-in-law, Emma Kochan; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 her family and friends, the passing of Helen E. Yungck; and be
10 it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Helen E. Yungck as a symbol of our
13 sincere condolences.
