SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Suzanne Skeeters of Springfield, who
4 passed away on September 2, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters was born on February 23, 1953 in
6 Springfield; she was the daughter of Donald and Phyllis Crump
7 Wilson; she married Norman Skeeters on December 24, 1971; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters graduated from Springfield High
9 School in 1971; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters was a homemaker, but worked for
11 six years as an aide for children with disabilities for Butler
12 Elementary and Southeast High School in Springfield's School
13 District 186; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters was a member of First United
15 Methodist Church; she loved to bake, winning more than 200
16 ribbons at the State Fair for her baked goods; she was a
17 wedding cake maker for more than 21 years and was taught by her
18 father to make candy; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters enjoyed gardening and spending
20 time with her family; and

1     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters was preceded in death by her
2 father and her grandfather; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Suzanne Skeeters is survived by her husband,
4 Norman; her daughters, Janelle (Jason) Dee and Sara Skeeters;
5 her son, Donald (Angie) Skeeters; her grandchildren, Taylor Dee
6 and Savannah Skeeters; her mother, Phyllis Wilson; her
7 brothers, Kent (Terry) Wilson and Phillip (Wendy) Wilson; her
8 uncle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be
9 it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 her family and friends, the passing of Suzanne Skeeters; and be
13 it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Suzanne Skeeters as an expression of
16 our sympathy.
