SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of June Hartseil of Peoria, who passed away
4 on October 12, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, June Hartseil was born on October 28, 1926, in
6 Chicago; her parents were Jess and Ruth (Stedman) Henderson;
7 she married Ellis "Al" Hartseil on June 29, 1946, in Eureka;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, June Hartseil worked at Bergner's Department
10 Store for 17 1/2 years; she served as the president of the
11 Pleasant Hill School District 69 PTA; she was a driver for the
12 Peoria Cancer Foundation and Catholic Social Services for many
13 years; she also served as a Gray Lady assistant at St. Francis
14 Hospital; and
 
15     WHEREAS, June Hartseil was a lifelong Democrat; she served
16 as an election judge for Peoria County for a number of years;
17 she was a member of the Limestone Democrat Women's Circle since
18 1961, serving as the group's president and secretary at
19 different times; she was also a member of the Peoria County
20 Ladies' Democrat Club and was a charter member of the Limestone
21 Democrat Club in 1961; and

1     WHEREAS, June Hartseil bowled on the Peoria Auto Parts team
2 for a number of years; she was a blood donor of 10 pints for the
3 Red Cross; she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and fishing; she
4 was a member of the arthritis exercise group, most recently at
5 the Peoria RiverPlex, for 18 years; and
 
6     WHEREAS, June Hartseil was preceded in death by her
7 parents; and
 
8     WHEREAS, June Hartseil is survived by her husband, Ellis;
9 her daughters, Lynn Anderson and Judy (Bob) Chance; her sons,
10 Steve (Dianne) Hartseil and Chuck (Jacquie) Hartseil; her 8
11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Ron
12 (Solange) Henderson and Greg (Terry) Henderson; therefore, be
13 it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
16 her family and friends, the passing of June Hartseil; and be it
17 further
 
18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of June Hartseil as an expression of
20 our sympathy.
