SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of John Eugene Miller of Thompsonville, who
4 passed away on August 15, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, John Eugene Miller was born on March 25, 1922, in
6 Northern Township, Franklin County, near Snowflake; he was the
7 son of John George Miller and Dora (Smith) Miller; he married
8 Hattie Lee (Pillow) in 1943, and she preceded him in death in
9 1944; he married Emmagene (Tate) Galles on September 17, 1949,
10 and she preceded him in death on September 29, 1978; he married
11 Eutha (Hall) Constandars on June 1, 1979; and
 
12     WHEREAS, John Eugene Miller was a retired farmer and a
13 deacon at the Second Baptist Church in Thompsonville, and he
14 served his Lord faithfully since his conversion in 1949; he
15 worked at Miller Equipment in Thompsonville for several years
16 and enjoyed trading farm equipment; and he especially enjoyed
17 spending time with his children and grandchildren; and
 
18     WHEREAS, John Eugene Miller was preceded in death by his
19 parents; two wives; his brother, Charles Miller; and his
20 sisters, Georgia Robertson and Neva Hess; and
 
21     WHEREAS, John Eugene Miller is survived by his wife, Eutha

1 Miller; his daughter, Sylvia Ellsworth and husband, Roger; his
2 sons, Larry Miller and wife, Kaye, Dennis Miller and wife,
3 Hazel, Paul Miller and wife, Phyllis, and Rodney Miller and
4 wife, Kendra; his stepdaughters, Renee Wilson and husband,
5 Steve, and Kathy Jones and husband, Steve; his stepsons, Terry
6 Dubré and Leroy Dubré and wife, Ginger; 21 grandchildren;
7 several great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Craine; his
8 brother, Darrell Miller and wife, Linda; his several nieces and
9 nephews; and his special friend and helper, James Hubbard;
10 therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13 his family and friends, the passing of John Eugene Miller; and
14 be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of John Eugene Miller as an expression
17 of our sympathy.
