SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 hear of the death of Louie Barker of Collinsville, who passed
4 away on August 9, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Louie Barker was born on August 10, 1948 in
6 Highland; his parents were Robert and Alma, nee Brewer, Barker;
7 he married Carol Mae, nee Kunz, Barker on September 25, 1965 in
8 St. Jacob; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Louie Barker was an operating engineer who worked
10 out of Local 520; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Louie Barker was a member of St. Paul Lutheran
12 Church in Troy; in his more than 20 years of living in Troy, he
13 was a soccer coach, a baseball coach, a member of the American
14 Legion and Little League, and traveled and coached with Select
15 Soccer teams; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Louie Barker was preceded in death by his parents;
17 and
 
18     WHEREAS, Louie Barker is survived by his wife, Carol Mae;
19 his sons, Robert (Shelley) Barker and Ryan (Lisa) Barker; his
20 grandchildren, Drake, Skie, and Donovan Barker; his brother,

1 R.E. (Tammy) Barker; his brother-in-law, Bob (Tina) Kunz; his
2 niece, Susan (Michael) Smith Anderson; and his great-nephew,
3 Seth Anderson; therefore, be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6 his family and friends, the passing of Louie Barker; and be it
7 further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the family of Louie Barker as an expression of our
10 sympathy.
