SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Earl Struck of Springfield, who passed
4 away on August 7, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Earl Struck was born on September 30, 1943, in
6 Murphysboro; he is the son of William John and Goldia Wayman
7 Struck; he married Sherry Winn on July 9, 1976, in Normal; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Earl Struck graduated from Eastern Illinois
9 University with a bachelor's degree in Business
10 Administration; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Earl Struck was president and chief executive
12 officer of the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives;
13 he was a former manager of the Kane County Farm Bureau and of
14 the Washington County Farm Bureau from 1967 to 1974; and he was
15 a former Assistant Director of Legislation of the Illinois Farm
16 Bureau; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Earl Struck served on the Governor's Commission to
18 Study Property Tax Reform and on the Blue Ribbon Commission to
19 Study Elementary and Secondary Public Education Finance; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Earl Struck was a member of the Shriners and a

1 member of the Masonic Lodge; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Earl Struck was preceded in death by his parents;
3 and
 
4     WHEREAS, Earl Struck is survived by his wife; his daughter,
5 Amy (Mark) Kluemke; his sons, William Struck and Brad Winn; his
6 grandchildren, Drew Kluemke, Anna Kluemke, Leah Kluemke,
7 Peyton Struck, and Allison Struck; his brother, William (Kathy)
8 Struck; his mother-in-law, Irene Fonger; his sister-in-law,
9 Marilyn (David) Walker; and several aunts, uncles, nieces,
10 nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13 his family and friends, the passing of Earl Struck; and be it
14 further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Earl Struck as an expression of our
17 sympathy.
