SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of LaSondra Carlynn Shaw of North Chicago, who passed away on June 29, 2007; and

WHEREAS, She was born and raised in Waukegan and later moved to Las Vegas; she returned to the Lake County area a few years ago; and

WHEREAS, LaSondra Shaw attended North Chicago High School and enrolled at the College of Lake County to begin her journey of obtaining a higher education and of becoming a nurse; and

WHEREAS, LaSondra Shaw was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaiah and Carrie Tate, Florence Jones, John Smith, Lilly Dameron, Mary Shaw, and Al White; her aunt, Mary Lee Shaw-Merriweather; her uncle, Alexander Shaw; and a host of other relatives and friends; and

WHEREAS, LaSondra Shaw leaves to cherish her memory forever, her parents, Denise (Ernest) Roberts and Steven (Netta) Shaw; her maternal great-grandparent, Mary Smith; her maternal grandparents, Sondra White (Ed) Nelson and Mr. Johnnie Lee Vinson; her paternal grandparent, Alexander Shaw; her sisters, Shannon Shaw, Shavonne Shaw, and Natosha Shaw; her aunts, Penelope (Efrem) Lee and Carol Randall; and her nieces and nephews, Chanteirra Miller, Michael Miller, Garri Charleston, and Shannon Charleston; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of LaSondra Carlynn Shaw; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of LaSondra Carlynn Shaw as a symbol of our sympathy.
