SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Joseph George Masulla of Alton, who
4 passed away on June 13, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Joseph Masulla was born March 4, 1930, in Godfrey
6 to James and Emma (Levi) Masulla; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He married the former Bernadine Boucher on
8 September 9, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton,
9 and they were married 54 years before her passing in 2005; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Joseph Masulla was a member of the Union Clay
11 Workers and retired from the Alton Brick Company; he later went
12 to work for the city of Alton with the Public Works Department
13 for 11 years until his retirement; he was a member of the St.
14 Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton, then attended St. Mary's
15 Catholic Church in Alton; he enjoyed collecting antiques,
16 fishing, and gardening; and
 
17     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Joseph Masulla was also
18 preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Catherine
19 Michael, Mary Scott, Amelia McGuire, Agnes Masulla, and
20 Josephine Connoyer; and his brothers, James and Ollie Masulla;
21 and

1     WHEREAS, Jospeh Masulla is survived by his daughters and
2 sons-in-law, Susan and John Saffer, and Mary and Steve
3 Friedberg; his sons and a daughter-in-law, Leo Masulla, and
4 Dennis and Lois Masulla; his grandchildren, Benjamin Saffer,
5 Louise Masulla, Valerie Pruitt and her husband, Steven,
6 Christopher Masulla, and Amanda and Sara Friedberg; his six
7 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Louis Masulla;
8 therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11 his family and friends, the passing of Joseph George Masulla;
12 and be it further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to the family of Joseph George Masulla as a symbol of
15 our sympathy.
