SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Michael F. Paz Sr. of Beach Park, who
4 passed away on March 6, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Michael F. Paz Sr. was born on December 7, 1920 in
6 Ft. Worth, Texas; his parents were David and Josefa (Fernandez)
7 Paz; he married Josephine Navarro in Waukegan on May 13, 1950;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, Michael F. Paz Sr. was a US Army veteran, serving
10 during World War II; he was the owner and operator of Waukegan
11 Photography Studio for 21 years, as well as Waukegan Paint and
12 Art Gallery, where he retired after 21 years; he was a member
13 of the American Legion Post, the Moose Lodge, and the American
14 GI Forum; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Michael F. Paz Sr. was preceded in death by his
16 parents, David and Josefa (Fernandez) Paz; his brother, David
17 Paz; and his son, Daniel Joseph Paz; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Michael F. Paz Sr. is survived by his loving wife
19 of 56 years, Josephine; his son, Michael Paz Jr.; his
20 daughters, Ann Marie (Robert) Martin and Rebecca (Gregory)
21 Stevens; his grandchildren, Angela (Matthew) Brooks, Micah

1 (Angelique), Gina, and Justin Martin, and Samuel, Natalie, and
2 Amanda Stevens; and his four great-grandchildren; therefore,
3 be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6 his family and friends, the passing of Michael F. Paz Sr.; and
7 be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to the family of Michael F. Paz Sr. as an expression
10 of our sympathy.
