SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Margie E. "Moran" Redmond of Alton, who
4 passed away on May 9, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Margie E. "Moran" Redmond was born on March 22,
6 1932 in Chicago; her parents were Dr. Thomas Joseph and Mary
7 Isabell (Gahan) Moran; she married Jack F. Redmond on July 26,
8 1952, in Alton; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Margie E. "Moran" Redmond graduated from Villa
10 Duchesne in Clayton; she attended Maryville College; she worked
11 as a cashier at the Madison County Treasurer's Office; she was
12 a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and was involved in
13 the Altar Society; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Margie E. "Moran" Redmond loved to travel; she
15 especially loved driving up the River Road with her best
16 friend; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Margie E. "Moran" Redmond was preceded in death by
18 her husband, Jack; her parents; her daughter, Mary Diane
19 Redmond; her sisters, Isabell Fallon and Patty Ducey; her
20 cousin, Marial Haine; and her very special friend, Vic Buese;

1     WHEREAS, Margie E. "Moran" Redmond is survived by her four
2 daughters and three sons-in-law, Patti and Gene Kain, Sue
3 Gergits, Jackie and John Harris, and Jane and Mike Connell; her
4 grandchildren, Jonathan, Dutch and Molly Harris, Lauren and
5 Patrick Gergits, and Meghan Connell; her brother and
6 sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Carole Moran; her sister-in-law,
7 Betty Farley; her brothers-in-law, Joe Ducey and Joe Fallon;
8 several nieces and nephews; and her two lifelong dearest
9 friends, Katie Jennings and Jeanette Edelen; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 her family and friends, the passing of Margie E. "Moran"
13 Redmond; and be it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Margie E. "Moran" Redmond as an
16 expression of our sympathy.
