SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Eileen McCracken, who passed away on
4 April 5, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Eileen McCracken was born May 10, 1924, in
6 Chicago; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Eileen McCracken grew up in the Austin
8 neighborhood of Chicago; she moved to River Forest at age
9 twelve and met her future husband, Tom McCracken, whom she
10 married in 1949; she graduated from Trinity High School in
11 River Forest and attended St. Mary's College of Notre Dame,
12 Indiana; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Eileen McCracken was well known for her sweet
14 disposition, great acts of kindness, and sense of serenity; her
15 highest priority was to create a warm and welcoming home for
16 her family and her children's friends; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Eileen McCracken is survived by her husband,
18 Thomas J.; her children, Jo Ann Gallagher, Tom Jr., Jackie
19 (Sam) Cibula, Dick (Joan), Bill (Diane), Kevin (Annette),
20 Eileen (Bob) Crane, J.R. (Beth), Carolyn (Bill) Lagor, Susan
21 and Amy (Tim) Hangsterfer; and 43 grandchildren; she was

1 preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Catherine; therefore,
2 be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
5 her family and friends, the passing of Eileen McCracken; and be
6 it further
 
7     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to the family of Eileen McCracken as an expression of
9 our sympathy.
