SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Jack Donald Hatfield of
4 Johnston City who passed way on Saturday, December 30, 2006;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born on October 9, 1936 in Chittyville to
7 Charles and Martha (Pope) Hatfield; he was united in marriage
8 to Jeanne Helfrich on June 29, 1957 in Johnston City; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was a coal miner for 17 years, last working at
10 the Freeman Four Coal Mine; he also worked for 17 years for
11 General Dynamics, retiring from there; he was a member of the
12 Fin and Feather Club of Freeman Spur and Jansco's Golf Club of
13 Johnston City; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The passing of Jack Donald Hatfield has been
15 deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Jeanne; his children,
16 Mary J. Hatfield, Donna J. Lawrence and husband, Rob, William
17 J. Hatfield, Karen J. Staples and husband, Butch, and Natalie
18 A. Jamison and husband, William; his grandchildren, Shannon
19 Worak, Bill Hatfield, Heather Hatfield, Sarah and Jacob
20 Lawrence, Ryan and Katlin Lind, Nicole and Brian Staples, and
21 Nathan Jamison; his great-grandchildren, John Ryan Jr., Grace
22 and Aston Worak, and Jerrett Hatfield; his sisters, Ruby Fogle,

1 Helen Humphrey, and Carol Jent and husband, Dean; his brothers,
2 Gene Hatfield and wife, Mary Ann, Earl Hatfield, and Gary
3 Hatfield; his brothers-in-law, Lester "Speedy" Hammonds,
4 George Helfrich and wife, Carol, and Jack Helfrich and wife,
5 Joy; and his nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by
6 his parents; his brother, Bill Hatfield; and his sisters,
7 Martha June Hatfield and Barbara Hammonds; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10 Jack Donald Hatfield, and we extend our sincere condolences to
11 his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12 further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
15 sympathy.
