SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
105 ILCS 5/10-20.46 new
105 ILCS 5/34-18.37 new

    Amends the School Code. With regard to an individual employed or formerly employed by one school board and seeking employment with another, allows the school board with which the individual is seeking employment to make an inquiry with the school board that currently employs or formerly employed the individual as to whether the current or former employer school board has ever made a report concerning the individual under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning education.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
5 10-20.46 and 34-18.37 as follows:
 
6     (105 ILCS 5/10-20.46 new)
7     Sec. 10-20.46. Abused and neglected child report inquiry.
8 With regard to an individual employed or formerly employed by
9 one school board and seeking employment with another, the
10 school board with which the individual is seeking employment
11 may make an inquiry with the school board that currently
12 employs or formerly employed the individual as to whether the
13 current or former employer school board has ever made a report
14 concerning the individual under the Abused and Neglected Child
15 Reporting Act.

18 With regard to an individual employed or formerly employed by

20 board may make an inquiry with the school board that currently

3     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
4 becoming law.
