AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1998

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1998 on page 1,
3 line 11, by replacing "Findings." with "Findings; procedures
4 for multistate automated licensing system."; and
 
5 on page 1, line 12, by replacing "The" with "(1) The"; and
 
6 on page 2, immediately below line 13, by inserting the
7 following:
8     "(2) The Director shall not require any exempt person to
9 submit information to the multistate automated licensing
10 system. For purposes of this Section, "exempt person" means any
11 individual or company exempt from licensure in this State.
12     (3) No person shall be authorized to obtain information
13 from the multistate automated licensing system or initiate any
14 action based on information obtained from the multistate
15 automated licensing system that the person could not otherwise
16 have obtained or initiated based on information currently

1 available under existing State law.
2     (4) The Director shall accept and abide by the Privacy,
3 Data Security, and Security Breach Notification Policy, as
4 adopted by the multistate automated licensing system, and
5 ensure that it is in full compliance with existing State law.
6 The Director may make available, upon written request, a copy
7 of the contract between the Department and the multistate
8 automated licensing system that satisfies the provisions of
9 this subsection (4).
10     (5) The Director may, upon written request and consistent
11 with other state regulators, provide the most recently
12 available audited financial report of the multistate automated
13 licensing system.".
