AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 782

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 782 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4     "Section 5. Upon payment to the Department of Natural
5 Resources of the sum equal to the appraised fair market value
6 determined in accordance with Section 10, the Director of such
7 Department, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized
8 to execute and deliver to WLA Gambit IL, LP, its successors and
9 assigns, a quit claim deed to the following described real
10 property, provided the grantee pays the appraisal, land survey,
11 title and closing costs, to wit:
12     All that part of the following described tracts or parcels
13 in Johnson County, Illinois, which lie northerly of the
14 northerly right-of-way line of Interstate Route 24, to wit:
15         1. All that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section
16     11, Township 13 South, Range 3 East of the Third Principal
17     Meridian transferred to the Department of Conservation by

1     Document recorded in the Recorder's Office of Johnson
2     County, Illinois in Warranty Deed Book 154 at Page 75; and
3         2. All that part of the South Half of the Northwest
4     Quarter of Section 11, Township 13 South, Range 3 East of
5     the Third Principal Meridian conveyed to the Department of
6     Conservation by Warranty Deed recorded in the Recorder's
7     Office of Johnson County, Illinois in Warranty Deed Book
8     117 at Page 341; a more accurate description to be prepared
9     from a Land Survey made by an Illinois Professional Land
10     Surveyor in accordance with the current Illinois minimum
11     standards for a boundary survey, the selection of such
12     Surveyor being subject to approval by the Department of
13     Natural Resources.
 
14     Section 10. The appraised fair market value of the real
15 property described in Section 5 shall be determined by 3
16 independent State certified general real estate appraisers
17 whose appraisal reports shall be subject to review and
18 certification by the Department of Natural Resources. The legal
19 description of such real property shall be subject to review
20 and approval by the Department of Natural Resources.
 
21     Section 15. The payment for the appraisal, land survey,
22 title and closing costs, and the amount of the appraised fair
23 market value of the real property to the Department of Natural
24 Resources, as provided in Section 5, shall be made through the

1 Illinois Conservation Foundation, with the funds being
2 earmarked for future land acquisition in IDNR Region 5.
 
3     Section 20. The Director of Natural Resources shall obtain
4 a certified copy of this Act within 60 days after its effective
5 date and, upon receipt of payment required by Section 5, shall
6 record the certified document in the recorder's office in the
7 county in which the real property is located.
 
8     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
9 becoming law.".
