To the Honorable Members of the

95th General Assembly
Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(b) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby veto Senate Bill 735, entitled “AN ACT concerning local government.” I recognize and appreciate the hard work of all the sponsors in passing this legislation. However, Senate Bill 735 creates a third tax base that is administratively untenable.
For this reason, I hereby veto and return Senate Bill 735.
