AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 155

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 155 on page 1, 
3
immediately below line 1, by inserting the following:

    "WHEREAS, Adherence to the Painting, Drywall Finishing, 
5
and Glazing Contractor Licensing Act ensures that employers 
6
performing work in fields regulated by the Act are accountable 
7
for their work and provides a mechanism through which employers 
8
may be aided in their compliance with the Act; and
 
9
    WHEREAS, The Painting, Drywall Finishing, and Glazing 
10
Contractor Licensing Act is intended to serve as a means to 
11
effectively and efficiently collect State taxes and other fees 
12
from out-of-State employers that perform work within this State 
13
by requiring an appropriate bond to be held until such time as 
14
all applicable State taxes and other fees are remitted to the 
15
State by the out-of-State employer; therefore"; and
