HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Gary N.
4 Watson of Riverton, who passed away on December 22, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Gary Watson was born on October 19, 1942 in
6 Springfield; he was the son of Robert and Geraldine Kiska
7 Watson; he married Carol Nail on June 24, 1961; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Gary Watson was a lifelong resident of Riverton;
9 he was employed with the State of Illinois as an event
10 coordinator for the Department of Natural Resources; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Gary Watson's passion was his wife, children, and
12 grandchildren, attending all their events and sports
13 activities; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many
14 years as an advocate for youth hunting and fishing programs; he
15 was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal and Illinois fan and became a
16 very good and proud friend with Red Schoendienst; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Gary Watson was preceded in death by his parents;
18 and
 
19     WHEREAS, Gary Watson is survived by his wife, Carol Watson;
20 his daughter, Kim (husband, Greg) Carver; his sons, Eric Watson

1 (companion, Kari McLean), Jeffrey (wife, Ashleigh) Watson, and
2 Daniel (wife, Caitlin) Watson; his grandchildren, Ryann,
3 Kasey, Lexie, Ali, Mitchell, Claire, Mason, Erin, Tyler,
4 Jonathon, Adam, Matt, Katie, Ellie, Izabelle, Connor, and Drew;
5 his brother, Jerome (wife, Kathy) Watson; his aunts, Alice
6 Watson, Virginia (husband, Bill) Kleban, and Wanda Porozinski;
7 his uncle, Jack Watson; and his several nieces, nephews, and
8 cousins; therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Gary
12 N. Watson; and be it further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to the family of Gary Watson as an expression of our
15 sympathy.
