HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Frank C.
4 Johnson Sr. of Antioch, who passed away on April 28, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. was born on October 4, 1934
6 in Chicago; he was the son of the late Clarence and Frances
7 (Bartlett) Johnson; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. moved to Round Lake in 1955
9 after serving in the United States Air Force; he married Louise
10 McCann on June 9, 1956 in Antioch, living in Antioch ever
11 since; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. attended the College of Lake
13 County in the School of Business; he was employed with
14 Commonwealth Edison for many years in management in Zion and
15 Chicago, working there until his retirement in 1993; he was
16 also a retired member of the Antioch Fire Department, which he
17 served in for several years; and
 
18     WHEREAS, After his retirement, Frank C. Johnson Sr. worked
19 for several years for FEMA as a part time (CEM) certified
20 emergency manager, serving in several disaster areas; he also
21 was active in writing the protocols for Nuclear Disasters for

1 Illinois and various local areas; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. was an avid hunter,
3 fisherman, and boater; he was a member of Ducks Unlimited and
4 Delta Waterfowl; he also loved to sing; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. was preceded in death by his
6 parents; his son, Daniel; and his brother, Robert; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. is survived by his wife of 52
8 years, Louise, his son, Frank Jr. and wife, Cathy; his
9 grandchildren, Jack and Kelly; his brother, Donald (Dorothy)
10 Johnson; his sisters, Jackie (Don) Phelps and Gerry (Ray) Doll;
11 and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Frank C. Johnson Sr. will be remembered by all who
13 knew and loved him as a beloved husband, father, grandfather,
14 and uncle whose knowledge and belief in the Lord was beyond any
15 doubt; therefore, be it
 
16     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Frank
19 C. Johnson Sr.; and be it further
 
20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
