HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives learned with sadness of the death of Patrick
4 Sean Botterman on March 10, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman was born March 30, 1964, to
6 Robert A. and Marion Harrington Botterman in Arlington Heights,
7 Illinois; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman was a graduate of Arlington
9 Heights High School and Western Illinois University, where he
10 was the youngest class president and where he served three
11 terms; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman was the beloved brother of
13 Mark Botterman, Mary Jo Coonen, Terrance Botterman, Katie
14 Buxton, Kevin Botterman, Michael Botterman, and the late
15 Timothy Botterman; and the fond uncle of Patrick and Connor
16 Buxton, Spencer Bonne, Tara, Casey, Megan, Daniel, Tim, and
17 Sean Botterman; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman will be remembered for his
19 public service as a Harper College Trustee, the Wheeling
20 Township Democratic Committeeman for seventeen years, and a
21 member of the Mount Prospect Rotary Club; and

1     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman was a well known and highly
2 respected political and public affairs consultant, having
3 served in that capacity on the campaigns of numerous public
4 officials in federal, municipal, township, and State
5 elections; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman was a dedicated agent for
7 change for the betterment of the political system; a champion
8 of the underdog; a tireless campaigner; and a mentor to many;
9 and
 
10     WHEREAS, Patrick Sean Botterman will be remembered as a
11 cherished friend; a man of irrepressible good humor, deep
12 spirituality, full of compassion and generosity to the less
13 fortunate; therefore, be it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 mourn the passing of Patrick Sean Botterman, and extend our
17 sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community;
18 and be it further
 
19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
21 sympathy.
