HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the players,
4 coaches, and manager of the Crystal Lake American Little League
5 team for winning the State American Little League tournament on
6 August 8, 2007; and
 
7     WHEREAS, The Crystal Lake American Little League team was
8 chosen from over 100 possible 11 year old candidates in July
9 2007; they practiced together for a few weeks, then started
10 playing in the Area 4 Tournament, winning it 2-0; the team
11 advanced to the District 13 Little League Tournament in Crystal
12 Lake, winning with a 5-1 record; the team advanced to the State
13 tournament in Springfield after beating the final team at the
14 tournament in Mundelein 2-0; and
 
15     WHEREAS, During the State tournament, The Crystal Lake
16 American Little League Team won their first game against
17 Moline, beating them 2-0; during the second round, the team
18 beat Clear Ridge 9-2; at the State tournament final, the team
19 faced Clear Ridge once more, winning the State title with a 8-7
20 victory; the team finished the year with a 13-1 record; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The players of the Crystal Lake American Little
22 League Team are Troy Bittenbender, Danny Cristante, Kyle

1 Devlin, Will Fogel, Josh Fruhauf, Luke Francis, Tanner Larkins,
2 Neal Overbay, David Panicko, Austin Rogers, Paul Schlimm, Chad
3 Randolph, and Paul Wille; the team manager is Jeff Larkins and
4 the coaches are John Francis and Kevin Devlin; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 congratulate the players, coaches, and manager of the Crystal
8 Lake American Little League team for winning the State American
9 Little League tournament and wish them continued success and
10 happiness in the future; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Crystal Lake American Little League manager Jeff
13 Larkins as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
