HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Rosario ("Russ") Petrizzo has been a resident of
3 Homer Township, Illinois for twenty years and is presently
4 completing his second term as Mayor of the Village of Homer
5 Glen, a village that was incorporated in April of 2001 as the
6 third largest village in Will County; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Friends and associates of Russ Petrizzo will
8 gather at a farewell reception on Thursday, May 3, 2007 to pay
9 tribute to him for his dedication and years of service to the
10 residents of Homer Township and Homer Glen and to acknowledge
11 and thank him for his many accomplishments as Mayor;
12 accomplishments that will benefit the Village of Homer Glen for
13 years to come; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Russ Petrizzo was the proponent of incorporation
15 and was appointed as the first Mayor of Homer Glen, and then
16 was elected in 2003; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Russ Petrizzo served as a Homer Township Trustee
18 from 1993 to 2001; he served as President of the St. Mary's of
19 Mokena School Board; he is a member of the Homer Township
20 Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the Homer Founder's
21 Club, Committeeman of the Homer Township Republican
22 Organization, and currently serves as Director of the Will

1 County Governmental League; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Russ Petrizzo has been in the investment business
3 for 27 years; he is currently Senior Vice President at A.G.
4 Edwards & Sons, Inc., in Orland Park; he has been married to
5 Mary for 32 years and they have two sons, Matthew and Michael;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9 thank Russ Petrizzo for his service to Homer Township and the
10 Village of Homer Glen and wish him success and happiness in the
11 future; and be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to Rosario (Russ) Petrizzo as a symbol of our esteem
14 and respect.
