SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
    Authorizes the Director of Corrections, on behalf of the State of Illinois, to convey the Ed Jenison Work Camp by quit claim deed to the City of Paris for $1. Provides that the title to the property shall revert to the State if the property ceases to be used for public purposes. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning land.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $1 to the State
5 of Illinois, and subject to the conditions set forth in Section
6 10 of this Act, the Director of Corrections, on behalf of the
7 State of Illinois, is authorized to sell, transfer, and convey
8 by quitclaim deed all right, title, and interest of the State
9 of Illinois in and to the Ed Jenison Work Camp located in Edgar
10 County, Illinois to the City of Paris. The Director of
11 Corrections is authorized to convey the real property using a
12 metes and bounds legal description rather than the general
13 description set forth in this Section.
 
14     Section 10. The quit claim deed shall state on its face and
15 be subject to the condition that if the property is no longer
16 used for public purposes, then title shall revert without
17 further action to the State of Illinois.
 
18     Section 15. The Director of Corrections shall obtain a
19 certified copy this Act within 60 days after its effective
20 date, and shall record the certified document in the recorder's
21 office in the county in which the land is located.

1     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2 becoming law.
