SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 405/405-335 new

    Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law. Requires the Department to establish and maintain a website known as the Illinois Accountability Portal. The website shall provide direct access to information concerning State employees and individual consultants, State expenditures, State tax credits, and revocations and suspensions of occupation and use tax certificates of registration and professional licenses.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services
5 Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6 adding Section 405-335 as follows:
 
7     (20 ILCS 405/405-335 new)
8     Sec. 405-335. Illinois Accountability Portal. To establish
9 and maintain a website, known as the Illinois Accountability
10 Portal, with a full-time webmaster. The website shall provide
11 direct access to each of the following:
12     (1) A database of all current State employees and
13 individual consultants, sorted separately by name, agency, and
14 position title, listing for each their current pay rate and
15 year-to-date pay.
16     (2) A database of all current State expenditures, sorted
17 separately by agency, category, customer, and Representative
18 District.
19     (3) A database of all current State tax credits, sorted
20 separately by tax credit category, customer, and
21 Representative District.
22     (4) A database of all revocations and suspensions of State
23 occupation and use tax certificates of registration and all

1 revocations and suspensions of State professional licenses,
2 sorted separately by name, geographic location, and
3 certificate of registration number or license number, as
4 applicable. Professional license revocations and suspensions
5 shall be posted only if resulting from a failure to pay taxes,
6 license fees, or child support.
