AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4196

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4196, AS AMENDED, by

replacing all of Section 3 with the following:

    "Section 3. The Property Tax Code is amended  by adding 
5
Sections 21-253 and 21-260.5 as follows:

    (35 ILCS 200/21-253  new)
7
    Sec. 21-253. Condominium tax sale procedures.  For a 
8
condominium or townhome sold pursuant to this Division, the 
9
collector must provide notice, sent by certified mail with 
10
return receipt requested,  of the date and time of the sale to 
11
the condominium or townhome association that is associated with 
12
the property.

    Sec. 21-260.5. Scavenger sale procedures; condominiums and
