AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4159

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4159, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
4 1, as follows:
 
5 on page 8, by replacing lines 8 through 26 with the following:
6     "(e-5) Each school district shall periodically review its
7 procedures on solid waste reduction regarding the management of
8 solid waste generated by academic, administrative, and other
9 institutional functions. Those waste reduction procedures must
10 be designed to, when economically and practicable feasible,
11 recycle the school district's waste stream, including without
12 limitation landscape waste, computer paper, and white office
13 paper. School districts are encouraged to have procedures that
14 provide for the investigation of potential markets for other
15 recyclable materials that are present in the school district's
16 waste stream. The waste reduction procedures must be designed
17 to achieve, before July 1, 2020, at least a 50% reduction in

3 by replacing line 26 on page 15 through line 18 on page 16 with
4 the following:
